Day 98 - Julie & Julia LiveTweet

Day 98.

Hey guys! Just a kind reminder--I will be LiveTweeting today's viewing of Julie & Julia in honor of today being the last day it will be up on Netflix Instant Streaming. So if you have Netflix/the Julie & Julia DVD, start that shit up at 8/7c and join the conversation. I'll be retweeting the best comments/fielding questions as the movie progresses. It will be buttloads of fun! Or, at the very least, one buttload. Buttloads, plural, is probably too much to ask.

Oh, and if you can't make it, check back here at a later time for a recap/update.

I'm happy to report that the Lawrence/Julie & Julia Project's LiveTweet was a great success! A fair amount of people watched the movie along with me and God bless their hearts--I mean, I wouldn't have wished that fate upon my worst enemies. But alas, some people actually willingly submitted themselves to this movie and needless to say, I really enjoyed their company. Check the Lawrence/Julie & Julia Project's twitter feed for a recap of night's events. Also, some of the highlights from other tweeters below:

And the big winner of the night...

Why am I the one running this stupid blog again? You guys should all be writing it--you're hilarious! Anywho, thanks again to everyone who participated/checked in throughout the night. Two hours of Amy Adams whining about this and that never felt so short!

But alas, today marks the end of an important chapter--for starting tomorrow, I will no longer be able to watch Julie & Julia via Netflix Instant Streaming anymore.

Kind of sad that I will never get to see this screen again...

Julie & Julia instant streaming, you have been kind to me. Sure, we've had our rough patches, but who hasn't? In the beginning, it was fresh and new and exciting. Maybe you did start lagging a little at the end, but that's an inevitability on this ethernet network. I don't blame you for that. Or for me having multiple tabs of porn up at the same time. I don't know--things just got a little repetitive, I guess. I'm sorry. Plus, DVD has promised to treat me real well--it has special features and director's commentary and everything! I mean, don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun screenshotting you every day, but you and I both know that I was looking for a long-term relationship. And you just weren't able to offer that. Please don't take this the wrong way. It's not you, it's me. In the end, I'm glad to have known you and seen you 98+ times. You will always be my first--the original butter to my bread and the breath to my life.

The final Netflix tally... must be some sort of record.

Goodbye, Netflix Instant Streaming of Julie & Julia.
