Mellow Monday: I Heart Beaches

As you might assume living on Maui is expensive and most of us have to work more to get by but when were not working we have the beach as our backyard. Its a nice little reminder of why we live in this beautiful place. My husband is off tomorrow and I am going to try to get him to go to the beach with me for a little bit. He works on a boat so he is in the sun a lot and so I am going to have to choose a beach that has some shade. :)

I think my favorite part about going to the beach is swimming in fresh ocean water and cooling off on a hot day. Just relaxing and taking in the view is also pretty sweet. What is your favorite part about going to the beach?

Mellow Monday: Friends

Overall I had a pretty good weekend. On Saturday my girlfriend and I got to go to a soft opening of a new Restaurant in Lahaina called Honu. Her fiance is a sous chef so it was a nice little hookup. We got to taste amazing and delicious food while watching the sunset. On Sunday I went to a baby shower on the beach and then saw the musical Chicago at I'O theatre. Their performances and voices were really good. So yeah it was really good to get out and have some good times with my girls.

I didn't take any photos so here are some pictures of other people. These remind me of being younger where you would spend your entire summer with your friends. Good times. :)

Mellow Monday: Wind Swept Hair

Often times in photos us girls are always trying to get our hair out of our face on windy days when someone is about to take a photo. I like the idea of just letting the hair do what it wants. Its what I love about these photos. It just seems more natural, caught in the moment and candid. What do you think?

Mellow Monday: Tattoos (need your feedback)

So I have been talking for awhile now about getting a very simple pretty script tattoo that says something on either my wrist or my foot. To my surprise I woke up this morning to find a gift certificate to Skin Deep Tattoos lying on my keyboard! I really was not expecting this from my husband and now I really have to do this. I am getting nervous just thinking about it. Fortunately for the past year I have been gathering inspiration and these are my favorite. :)

So readers please let me know what your thoughts are as I am in need for some feedback.

1. Should I get the tattoo on my wrist where I can look at it all the time or on my foot where I can hide it a little easier. Any other place you would suggest for a script tattoo?

2. What should it say? I just love the idea of having it say "create". Any other ideas?
